The beautiful surroundings and friendly, family feel of Beaulieu school is what first attracted me as a parent. The vision of providing unique memories is very personal to me - my 4 boys, current and past pupils, all loved their time at this school and this vested interest was my reason in first becoming a parent governor. Now, as Chair of Governors I am very excited to work with Mrs Jones in taking the school from strength to strength.
Before becoming a full-time mother, I forged a career in clinical research in Toxicology /Clinical Pharmacology in the NHS (10 years) and in Clinical Data Management within a leading Pharmaceutical company (5 years). I completed my Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in 1995. A background in science and data handling have offered good transferrable skills, which I have been able to utilise within the school.
I am very fortunate to have lived in Antwerp, Belgium; Virginia, USA and Pattaya, Thailand in the last 15 years. I have previous experience of voluntary work as a leader of a local Mother and Toddler Group (2005-2010) and Trustee/voluntary health and safety officer for a local pre-school (2007-2009). It is extremely rewarding to be able to draw on my life/work experiences.
I am dedicated to joining the shared journey with Mrs Jones, her dedicated staff, parents, friends of Beaulieu school and most importantly our pupils in making Beaulieu School an outstanding school - where we are constantly look at improving whole school life for ALL our pupils.
Completed Chairs Development Programme with NCTL in 2016.
