MFL
At Beaulieu Village Primary School, we learn Spanish and French, our planning is based on the Language Angels scheme of work which covers all the components of the Programme of Study in the National Curriculum. The intention of the Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Curriculum at Beaulieu Village Primary School is to enable children to communicate practically in another language.
We explore courage in Modern Foreign Languages by encouraging the children to step out of their comfort zones to embrace new sounds and vocabulary. We strive to embed the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing necessary, to enable children to use and apply their Spanish and French learning in a variety of contexts and lay the foundations for future language learning. Our aim is to enable all children to shine in Modern Foreign Languages by inspiring them to be enthusiastic, tolerant and independent thinkers who have a curiosity and appreciation for languages and other cultures that make up our world.
