Hello!
We would like to welcome you to your new school!
We have set up this new page so you can start to feel part of our school and begin the special transition that usually would happen in this term...but virtually.
We are hoping to send information for parents but also fun videos for the children too.
We will endeavour to upload 'something' every Friday...for you to then look at and share that week.
If you haven't already done so - please could you email the office with your child's pre-school name, phone number and key person. Already, we have started to make contact with some of the pre-schools.
Please feel free to click on the messages and documents below....
Week 2 - 12/6/20
Hello again,
Thank you to all the parents who have emailed the school with the pre-school details....if you haven't managed to yet - please could you email the school office asap as we want to make contact with all the settings and gather as much information about the children as possible.
This week, Mrs Jones and Mrs Doman have read a story for you.
We have put together another powerpoint and video for you to watch which we have named 'Part 2 - Around our school'.
Please watch it with your child as many times as you want, so you child can start to feel familiar with the staff and school grounds.
TO DO JOB:
If you are able to - it would be really great if you could send it a photograph of your child. We would like to put all the children into a powerpoint so we can start to introduce the children in the class to each other. If you are happy for your child to be used in a powerpoint and put on the school website (internet) - please send photo and 3 facts to school office.
eg.
(The photo could be on a climbing frame or on a scooter, etc)
Hope you are all keeping well. Look forward to seeing your child in a photo!
See you next Friday!

Week 3 - 19/6/20
Hello again,
Hope you are all ok.
We have contacted most pre-schools now and they have shared lots of information about the children.
This week we have made a video about the fun we can have at school and we have some stories for you too.
If you can get to it...it would be great if we can get some more photos of the children who are going to be in our class as we think this will help with the transition.
Thanks for your continued support with this

Week 4 - 26/6/20
Hello again,
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine!
This week we can meet two new friends who will be in Willow class.
We have offered a tour of the classroom, toilet and garden for your child to see. This invitation was sent via email from the office. If you would like to join a tour, please contact the office. We are having to think carefully about how this will look and we are keeping numbers low to keep everyone safe.
Take care

Week 5 - 3/7/20
Hello
Hope you have had an enjoyable week.
Mrs Burt has read another story this week...Hippo has a hat....
Lots of you have signed up for the mini tour of the garden, toilets and classroom. We would really like to get a photograph of your child at the tour. This photograph is used to help your child to find their peg, their snack place and we would like to use in a story we hope to send to you and your child before they start school.
We have made a 'Guide for New Parents' which takes you through what you need for school. It has also been emailed to you all individually.
We are really looking forward to meeting you soon.
Take care

Week 6 - 10/7/20
Hello again
This week, we have started our tours around the classroom, toilets and garden ...and it was SO nice to finally meet some of you! We have some more tours this week.
Question from a parent...'How many children in year R and how many are girls and how many are boys?'
We have 14 year R children, 5 girls and 9 boys. (a couple of the children who were on the list to come were girls!!) We can take 17 children in total, so we still have some space.
This week, we have a story from Mrs Buckmaster (who will be Thursday/Friday teacher) and a finger rhyme from me!
I have made a presentation which goes into a bit more detail about PE as we had some questions which I wanted to help answer.
School Readiness Leaflet from Hampshire - we hope to send this to you via email.
Next week, I will talk about lunches.
Thank you for the feedback and lovely comments we have had about our videos. (It makes the embarrassing recordings worth it!)
Take care

Update on PE uniform from Mrs Jones: We have asked our uniform supplier, PMG school wear in New Milton, to design Beaulieu Village Primary School sports hoodies which will be available to purchase over the summer holiday if you wish to. The hoodies will be red and will have the school logo on the front. Please note the wearing of the sports hoodie is optional. |
